David's fundraiser for Motor Neurone Disease Association - Leeds Marathon 2025

Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2025 · 11 May 2025 ·
I am participating in the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon on May 11, 2025, to honour my dad, who has recently been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). This diagnosis has been a challenging journey for our family, but we have found hope and support through the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA). Their dedication and resources have been invaluable during this difficult time.
Dad is an amazing story teller, and one of the first things MND has taken from him is his voice, which has been very difficult and frustrating for him.
One of the most remarkable things we discovered is the voice banking initiative funded by MNDA. This incredible service has given my dad his voice back, allowing him to communicate with us in ways we thought were lost forever. It is heartwarming to see him regain a sense of normalcy and connection through this technology.
However, not everyone facing MND has access to such life-changing resources. I am raising funds with a target of £1,000 to ensure that others can benefit from the same opportunities that have made such a difference in our lives. Your support can help provide vital services and support for families affected by MND. Together, we can make a meaningful impact and bring hope to those who need it most.
