Take on the Tower Abseil September 2024 · 7 September 2024 ·

Brave superheroes from across the land will be Taking on the Tower on Saturday 7th September and abseiling 190ft down Belfast City Hospital's iconic yellow tower block to raise funds for local families impacted by cancer.

Story

In a moment of madness I’ve decided to sign myself up to Abseil the Tower Block at the city hospital in Belfast on the 7th September 2024. 👀

Anyone that knows me, knows I’m terrified of heights. 🫣 For comedy value I’ll be dressed in a superhero costume, as yet to be decided. 😅 So help me raise vital funds for a charity that has most likely helped someone you care about.

Friends of the Cancer Centre's work focuses on four key areas – patient care, patient comfort, research and cancer awareness – supporting the services provided by the Health Service.

In the last year the charity has invested over £1.13 million into local cancer services through the life-saving and life-changing work we support.

The sponsorship money raised through this event helps fund the charity's vital support services to patients and their families across Northern Ireland.

Any donation, great or small will be much appreciated!

Thank you. 🙏
