Maggie's support centres work alongside NHS hospitals, they offer and provide free expert emotional, practical and social support to every aspect of cancer care, a truly safe place for cancer patients and their families. Though David only visited his local centre a few times he so appreciated the friendly escape to a peaceful mental space that helped him approach his cancer with dignity and strength.
