Story
Dad had fought valiantly against metastatic prostate cancer for 5 years following his diagnosis late in 2018, and through the wonders of modern medicine and a superb NHS oncology team in Peterborough, he kept this under control right to the very end.
Sadly, during his last few months, he developed a new cancer in the gastrointestinal area and a pulmonary embolism which ultimately took him from us, however the care and support he received in his last weeks and months were exemplary.
To honour my Dad, as he would have wished, for those attending his funeral we have asked for donations to Prostate Cancer UK, and for any of his family and friends who would like to pay their respects to him, I’d like to share this fundraising page setup for this worthwhile charity.
As I say goodbye to my Dad, I also want to share with his friends and connections my heartfelt thanks and appreciation for all the support and companionship you have offered him over his 80 years.
