Story
Every step I take up Mount Toubkal, from the dusty tracks of Imlil to the final push across the rocky summit ridge at 4,167 metres, is to help raise money for Newcastle United Foundation’s Health & Wellbeing Programmes, including Dementia Walking Football sessions.
This challenge is more than a climb. It’s my way of helping people living with degenerative health conditions, including dementia, rediscover joy, confidence, and connection through Newcastle United Foundation’s dementia friendly football sessions. These sessions give participants a safe space to move, socialise, and feel like themselves again, something their families say is life changing.
But demand is growing, and so are the costs. The Foundation need significant funds to keep these sessions running and accessible for everyone who needs them.
If you’re able to support my challenge, your donation will help fund this amazing charity.
