Story

Everyday in Feb I’m gonna run 10k for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

I will turn 51 during the month so will undoubtably fall apart at some stage, change my middle name to ‘ibuprofen’, and find new parts of my body that I didn’t realise could hurt so much but I will do it. If I get injured I will walk 10k (outside of normal steps).

I told my mate I was thinking of doing it and he called me lazy for picking the shortest month, regardless of the leap year!

I will do a variety of outdoor and treadmill runs - each run will take an hour give or take.

I will post proof in days 1,2 and 3 and then every Saturday showing the week’s previous proofs. I promise I won’t attach my Fitbit to the dog.

There is a stretch target to raise £2000 for GOSH.

This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support to give seriously ill children the best chance to fulfil their potential.

There is enough sadness in the world at the moment.

Sponsor me a tenner and make the world a wee bit nicer.
