I’m taking on the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds for West Mercia Rape & Sexual Abuse Support Centre (WMRSASC).

When I suggested the Welsh Three Peaks for our 40th anniversary, it was because I wanted us to do something that felt uplifting, purposeful, and full of possibility - not just for the organisation and the people we support, but for ourselves.

The last couple of years have taken me through some incredibly tough times, and I’ve learned how important it is to find things that help you keep moving forward. This challenge has become part of that for me. It’s a way to reconnect with resilience, to remind myself that we can still climb, grow, and choose hope even in the most overwhelming times.

So yes, this is a fundraiser - but it’s also a personal milestone. A chance to breathe deeply, step out onto the mountains, and prove to myself that even after difficult chapters, new heights are still possible!

WMRSASC provides free, confidential and specialist support to people affected by rape and sexual abuse across our region, including children, young people and adults. Our trauma-informed work helps survivors feel believed, safer and supported, while also investing in early intervention and prevention to help reduce harm and build safer communities.

Demand for specialist sexual violence services continues to grow, and funding is vital to ensure support is available when it’s needed most. By donating to this challenge, you’re helping WMRSASC continue this essential work and stand alongside survivors on their journey of recovery.
