Story
The Adventure Society is a group, set up by people we support in Hampshire, they run local community groups - Friendship club, gardening club, art club, disco nights and much more for people to build and maintain friendships and connections.
Together with the Adventure Society, the Hampshire area are fundraising for Dimensions' "Small Sparks" fund.
People with learning disabilities and autistic people supported by Dimensions (including Discovery) might apply for a Small Sparks grant to help find work, create friendship groups, develop hobbies or improve independence.
The more we raise, the more we can give out – and Dimensions promises that every penny raised will be given back in Small Sparks grants. Nothing will go on administration.
Mark successfully applied for a Small Sparks grant to buy a laptop to help him expand his advocacy and speaking work.
Jordan used his to buy tools to help him become a mechanic.
Denise used hers to buy a new bike to help her become more independent.
And Phil used his to make an important film about equal rights and paid employment.
If you could help transform other people's live, please give now. Thank you.
