We are walking Pier to Pier to help raise funds for this charity we are both passionate about. Between the 2 of us we have worked at Acorn for 28 years along residents and see day to day how the care and service provided for residents & tenants changes their lives. We feel we need to help to allow Acorn to continue changing lives.

Acorn Village strives to continue to fulfill the motto 'Life is for Living' making sure every adult lives their life to their full potential achieving skills and life ambitions.This year Acorn celebrate 50 years since it opened its doors to its first residents, we are helping celebrate this! 50 years ago it is highly unlikely that adults with learning disabilities would not have been given the opportunities as Acorn Village strives to offer. People with learning disabilities were often segregated from the community, hence the need for places such as Acorn Village. Acorn has continued to grow and now supports over 100 people with learning disabilities within the local community through workshops offered by Day Services.
