Story
In October 1915, British nurse Edith Cavell was executed for helping over 200 Allied soldiers escape from German-occupied Belgium. She cared for everyone, no matter their side, and gave her life for compassion and courage.
110 years later, her legacy still inspires us. Just like Edith, nurses and midwives today dedicate their lives to caring for others but when they face illness, domestic abuse, or financial hardship, they need someone to stand beside them. That’s where Cavell comes in.
This October, I’m joining Cavell’s 110 Campaign to honour Edith’s courage and support nurses and midwives in crisis. Together, we can mark this milestone with courage, kindness, and action, keeping Edith’s spirit alive and helping Cavell continue to be there for the nurses and midwives who care for us all.
Please support my challenge and stand with me in honouring 110 years of courage.
