Story
We're walking 1 kilometre—with our special needs daughter Disha, who is 29 years, in her wheelchair on 6th July at Parallel Windsor 2025.
The event is designed with inclusivity in mind with Windsor castle as a striking backdrop of Parallel Windsor 2025. This is not just as a challenge, but as a tribute to Cherry Trees Respite Care Centre, who has played a life-changing role in Disha’s journey toward independence. Their care, compassion, and support from 2008 to 2014 helped her grow in confidence and ability, ultimately enabling her to move into supported living and take steps towards a brighter independent life. Those years of respite care gave us a much-needed break for us from 24x7 care support to Disha. This 1 km represents every milestone Cherry Trees helped her reach. By supporting our walk, you’re giving other families the same hope, strength, and opportunity. Cherry Trees have received an OUTSTANDING judgement for the third year running by Ofsted. You can see more about Cherry trees in their web site, link below.

Also, recently Cherry Trees was featured in BBC south which can be seen in the link below.

Help us raise funds for Cherry Trees so more families can experience this life-changing support.
