Story
In the very early 1970s, my sister Tammy was born with cerebral palsy. We didn’t know for the first 6 months until one day she had a massive seizure. Her spine permanently twisted and her body temperature soared. She was taken to the local hospital and then transferred to Great Ormond Street. There she was diagnosed and cared for for a while. There was little they could do to cure her illnesses. But, they made a commitment to my parents that whenever she seized, they would have her rushed in by our car with a police escort, ambulance or even by a police car on several occasions. They would have her packed in ice before I could even get out of the car. They were amazing. They saved her life several times because her temperature would head towards fatal. My Dad told me it felt like a movie he never had the strength to make. But we have been forever grateful for the 4 years that they helped us keep Tammy. So, now I am retired from my day job, I am returning to DJ’ing and making music for this charity and the amazing people that work there, support it and for the patients and their families that are struggling today and in the future. God bless you all and thanks again for helping all of us.
