After 30+ years committed to helping the people of Worcestershire get well and stay well, the iconic Dr Phil Clamp “felt a bit out of sorts” and eventually agreed to some of those blood tests he loves.

24 hours later he was steadfastly coping with a blood cancer diagnosis with his usual humour and spirit.

Now on the road to recovery, more than 20 of his friends and colleagues are giving a little back by way of a show of solidarity and support by undertaking the May 2024 5/10km Bromsgrove runs to raise money for this amazing charity.

Blood Cancer Uk is a community dedicated to beating blood cancer. They do this by funding research and supporting those affected.

Since 1960, they have invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. Right now, their community is funding 360 researchers and staff across the UK who are searching for the next breakthrough.

The day we will beat blood cancer is now in sight and the researchers are determined to finish the job.
