Story
A massive thanks to all our sponsors. You have all been very generous. We finished the Angel's Way trail at Chester-le-Street church of St Mary's and St Cuthbert this afternoon 7th September. We could not have done it without you. Donald and Janet xx
The Angels Way is a lesser-known Northern Saints trail. It runs from Seaton Delaval 30 miles to Chester Street via St. Mary's Chapel in Jesmond and the Angel of the North. We are doing this walk as part of the community hub challenge 2026 raising funds to transform the Hall and Green at St George's into a much-needed community resource. The hall will be completely renovated to provide two independent meeting rooms with kitchen facilities modern AV, and Wi-Fi. In the upper floor there will be a study area useful for students and others who need a quiet space with Internet access. There will be a shower and toilet facilities for the homeless people who are drawn to the open space of St Georges' Green. The project is inclusive, accessible and ecological sustainable.
On our first leg with seen some cute animals and discovered that there is a pedestrian crossing point on the North East main line railway!
Thank you for your support! x
