Story
In February 2027, I will be taking on one of the biggest challenges of my life: trekking Mount Kilimanjaro 🏔️from the 11th–21st February to raise £3,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support💚.
Cancer support and research are causes incredibly close to my heart. When I was 21, I was diagnosed with abnormal cervical cells and went through three rounds of laser treatment over the following eight years. More recently, my Dad is now having chemotherapy for a relapse of multiple myeloma, and a close friend of mine has bravely overcome breast cancer and is successfully in remission🎉. Seeing the strength, fear, uncertainty, and resilience that cancer brings into people’s lives has shown me just how vital support services are — not only for patients, but for families too.
I’ve fundraised for cancer charities in the past by completing two Mighty Hike marathons, a Moonwalk marathon and sky dive. However, this challenge feels even more personal and important than ever before. Climbing Kilimanjaro (5895m) is not just a physical test — it’s my way of honouring the people I love and helping ensure that no one faces cancer alone.
Macmillan Cancer Support provides life-changing help for thousands of people every single day. Every pound donated will go directly toward supporting patients and families through some of the hardest moments of their lives.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, it would mean the world to me — and to those who will benefit from Macmillan’s incredible work.
Thank you so much for your support. 💚
