Why we are fundraising:
We're aiming to raise £3,000 in order to purchase vehicles and supplies that will be used by emergency crews and humanitarian teams in Ukraine, where transport is a daily challenge for those delivering medical aid and support.
Since the invasion began, Ukraine has faced a severe shortage of vehicles. Many cars, vans and ambulances have been destroyed in missile strikes, abandoned during evacuations or redirected for military use.
This leaves humanitarian workers and communities without the transport they urgently need to evacuate civilians, deliver food and medicine and reach people in remote or frontline areas.
Who we are and who we are working with:
We are a small team of friends working with Drive 2 Save Lives. D2SL is a volunteer-led, non-profit organisation dedicated to sourcing, acquiring, and delivering vehicles to Ukraine. D2SL supports The Worshipful Company of Carmen in Ukraine by providing essential logistical and transport assistance for their charitable initiatives.
Our Mission:
We will be departing the UK in early May with the goal of taking two life-saving vehicles packed with supplies 2,000 km to Lviv where they will be brought to hospitals and villages in desperate need of support. Your contribution will directly go towards lifesaving aid and relief for those still suffering.
