Story
Legends vs The Rest of the World
My brother Brendan was truly the most kind and loving person to u could wish to meet. He had time and a kind word for anyone lucky enough to come into contact with him and anyone who met him instantly liked him, his kind, caring demeanour and his wicked sense of humour.
He was fun-loving and generous to a fault, always putting the needs and feelings of others before his own. I cannot put into words what a special and unique human being he was who also sadly was struggling inside.
We are holding a charity football match in support of Pete’s Dragons as they have provided a lifeline to our family in the aftermath of my brother Brendan’s suicide in June 2022 at 47 years old.
Whether it’s been 2 weeks or 20 years, they offer support for as long as you need it. Suicide is described as “Grief with the volume turned up” and the bereavement specialists at Pete’s Dragons understand what you are going through and help you navigate the chaos that suicide leaves in its wake. We as a family would like to give something back to Pete’s Dragons for the vital support they have given us from those early weeks and continue to give us to this day.
