Story
War leaves many victims in its wake. Citizens caught in the crossfire are frequently left in desperate need of emergency medical support, and organisations like IDEALS provide this vital international disaster aid.
My daily work revolves around fixing severe injuries and performing limb salvage surgery. Whilst I cannot currently travel to these conflict zones to operate on the ground, I am determined to fund those who can.
Between the 14th and 16th of August, I am taking on the Manchester to London charity ride. Over three days, I will be cycling 230 miles and climbing 10,500 feet. The route kicks off with a stretch through the Peak District before pushing southward for a 100-mile second day, eventually finishing in the capital. It will be physically demanding. Still, the temporary discomfort of long-distance cycling is insignificant compared to the harsh realities faced by the people IDEALS supports.
The funds raised will directly enable medical teams to deliver life-saving and limb-saving care to those who need it most.
Please help support this cause in whatever small way you can. Every donation makes a tangible difference on the ground. Thank you for your generosity.
