Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the ‘Ealing Eagles Welsh Castles relay’ fundraising page.

The Welsh Castles relay is one of the big events in the Ealing Eagles racing calendar. We will be running the 200+ mile race over the weekend of 7th/8th June 2025, as we do every year. This is the third time we have raised money by growing moustaches for the race (2016, 2019 and 2025).

In 2019, we raised money for CALM as male suicide has had a big impact on our running club.

In the past year we then lost Andrew Green, one of the moustached runners on that 2019 team. Andy is pictured above (photo 2) with his 2019 well groomed moustache. Andrew Green was a core member of the Ealing Eagles running club, and a Welsh Castles relay regular, as this was his favourite running event.

We will miss him greatly at this year’s event and would love to raise a significant amount in his honour.

This page raises money for Hammersmith, Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow Mind, one of the charities that the Ealing Eagles support.

Also, West Central Mind have been of great support to Andrew’s family, if you would like to donate directly.

(photos of the runners’ moustaches will be posted here closer to race day)
