Go on a walk every day, log your steps and raise money for safe factories and trade union rights. What better way to mark 25 years of Labour Behind the Label than by covering the 5775 miles to Bangladesh!

Story

Hello! I wear clothes. You probably wear clothes. I think it is fair to say that we all wear clothes at some point in our life. Unfortunately, many of the clothes we buy do not really reward or treat fairly the workers who actually make what we wear. Below is a much more sensible and eloquent way to put this, written by Labour Behind The Label:

During the month of July I will be walking 57.75 miles to build up the distance from London to Dhaka.

I am doing this to show solidarity with garment workers, all over the world who face poverty wages, long hours, forced overtime, unsafe working conditions, sexual, physical and verbal abuse, repression of trade union rights and short term contracts.

Fashion is an industry built on exploitation and growing under a lack of transparency that makes holding brands accountable difficult. Labour Behind the Label are dedicated to changing this and so am I. One mile at a time.

Your support can help make a difference. Together, we can push for a fashion industry built on dignity, fair wages, and safe working environments.

Please support my challenge and stand with garment workers around the world!
