Story
I have taken on the tremendous challenge to complete the 45th Haworth Hobble, an Ultra Marathon, raising funds for a cure for paralysis.
My inspiration for this is a family member, Steven Pye, who was paralysed by a virus when he was 15 years old. Steven went to bed with mild back ache and woke the following day paralysed from the chest down.
Having been told he would never walk again, he worked tirelessly at his intensive rehabilitation programme and he is now able to walk short distances with the aid of sticks.
NSIF is a charity that funds the most promising research into a cure for spinal cord injury and is working towards a UK human trial in the very near future.
This will be life changing for the thousands of people who are already suffering from spinal cord injury. Please show your support by sponsoring me and help to change the future for many paralysed people.
