Story
In Cambodia, millions live without access to safe, timely, and affordable surgical care. Despite progress in public health, surgical services remain out of reach especially in rural areas. For those suffering from treatable conditions such as cleft lips and palates, burn contractures, hernias, and tumours, the lack of care can result in a lifetime of pain, disability, and stigma. These are not rare or complex problems—they are common, correctable, and devastating when left untreated.
Children miss school because of preventable deformities. Adults are unable to work due to surgical conditions that impair movement or cause chronic pain. Families endure social isolation, financial hardship, and emotional distress simply because the healthcare system cannot meet their needs.
We will be making use of our skills and time in joining this surgical mission in Oct 2025.
Also, this time, we will be fundraising to build a feeding centre for the team there.
$1 USD or £0.80 will allow the team to feed a child 1 meal! The Cambodian team would like to start a 2-day a week Teaching and Feeding Ministry, hopefully supporting 75 kids each week providing not only spiritual food but also physical food. If you would be willing to help support, your generous contribution is gratefully received. :)
Blessings,
Edwina
