Sara, Nikki and Sarah, walking to fund life-saving epilepsy monitors for some of the 18,000 babies and children in the UK who suffer from drug-resistant epilepsy. THESE MONITORS SAVE LIVES! but are not available on the NHS for home use.

Story

In 2025 we have several events planned to help raised vital funds for The Daisy Garland, a charity very close to our hearts.

There are 18000 children in the UK who have drug resistant epilepsy, but only around 800 have access to the ketogenic diet due in large to lack of funding of ketogenic dieticians. The Daisy Garland fund the placement of dieticians in UK hospitals, providing absolutely life changing care for these children and their families, and giving them hope for the future. They also provide life saving night time monitors to help keep these children safe from the risks of SUDEP (Sudden unexplained death in epilepsy). Also, their wraparound care and support for families who have been touched by drug resistant epilepsy is vital in improving mental health and bringing positivity. We really couldn't have got through the last 2 years or navigated the diet without them!

For this reason, my lovely mum is organising a coffee morning in February, I am taking on a 50km ultrawalk around Bath in March and in May we will hold a bluebell walk followed a cream tea on our Exmoor farm. Please do come and join us for either of these events if you can, or if you are able to sponsor me for my walk I would be very grateful 🙏
