Story
My sister, Alice, and I are doing Breast Cancer UKs 30-day Challenge this October for our amazing mum and to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2023.
Back in June this year, our lovely mum was given the devastating news that she had breast cancer. Over the last few months, she’s started her treatment - facing it head on with courage and determination. My dad, my sister and I are incredibly proud of her but we have witnessed first hand the toll this has taken on her both emotionally and physically.
This is the main reason we are wanting to do this challenge to:
1. Raise awareness and encourage everyone to look out for the signs and symptoms of breast cancer
And
2. Help raise money to support Breast Cancer UK this October (breast cancer awareness month), whose amazing work helps to prevent breast cancer with the hope that (finger crossed) less and less people will have to go through what our mum is currently facing.
We all know someone touched by breast cancer. Together we can help reduce the number of people who have to hear the words, 'You have breast cancer'.
Any donation is really appreciated and can help make a huge difference.
Thank you.
