Story
Square Food Foundation is an amazing place to work and I am beyond lucky that I get to be apart of so many people transformational journeys through food and cooking.
I'm currently on my own transformation journey back into running after having a small person enter my life. Of course I wouldn't change a that for the world, but I'd be lying if I didn't say my confidence in my self and my running hasn't taken a huge hit. That is why I'm challening myself to return to the Bristol 10k to face my fears and with it hopefully raise some money for Square Food Foundation who empower people to overcome their fear and build their confidence every day.
For those who don't know, Square Food Foundation (SFF), a food education charity based in Knowle West, running impactful programmes to support people across Bristol to learn to cook nutritious and delicious meals from scratch.
Food is a foundation for life - discovering a love for food and cooking can help people to make social connections, build self-confidence, develop independence and feel part of a community.
Food insecurity in Bristol is rising, with more and more families unable to consume an adequate quality or sufficient quantity of food to sustain their good health.
By empowering people with the skills and confidence to make more informed, sustainable food choices we can reduce the impact of food insecurity and help people to lead healthier and happier lives.
