I am running Ultra Race Romania; 250km, 11000 metres of climbing over 6 days, carrying all of my provisions and worst of all NO SHOWER!

In my heart throughout this adventure, I will be carrying the memory of my dear friend Helen who we lost to Oesophageal cancer last year.

She was cared for, in comfort, with kindness and compassion at the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow. I will be forever be grateful that this is where Helen spent her final days.

I see many palliative patients who are not fortunate enough to receive hospice care, as there are too few beds, so I would like to do what I can to help someone like Helen.
