Supporting bereaved parents in memory of Emilia Jayne

Emma Pursey is raising money for Lenny's Legacy
In memory of Emilia
We hope to raise enough to organise a retreat to provide a supportive environment for parents who have lost a child to experience their grief with others who understand and offer supportive activities. We also want to offer sibling days.

Story

I became pregnant with my first baby in July 2024, but tragically, after four months of complications and uncertainty, Emilia Jayne was born sleeping in October.

Lenny's Legacy is raising money for a series of supportive events throughout 2025 for parents who have experienced the death of a baby or child.

Their physio-led pilates course has been a lifeline for me, providing invaluable support for physical recovery as well as emotional support through the most difficult time of my life. As an athlete, I felt physically broken after being unable to train through pregnancy, and with a very different body in the midst of grief. Typical postpartum support is geared towards mothers with living babies, not mothers who had to arrange their babies' funerals, which invariably leaves us to feel lost and isolated. Finding a grief-informed instructor and supportive community has truly been a beacon in the darkness.

I would love to help them provide this vital support for other bereaved parents in memory of Emilia.
