Emily's fundraiser for Hayat Orphan Support

Emily Blakemore is raising money for Hayat Orphan Support
Afghan Schoolgirls are suffering too much. Education for secondary school girls is banned under the current regime. All the catastrophic situations of extreme poverty, hunger, civil war, huge unemployment are having severe effect on girls.

Story

I’ve always had a heart for helping others, especially girls and women who have been denied opportunities simply because of where they were born. This cause means so much to me because I truly believe every girl deserves the chance to learn, grow, and create a future for herself.

Growing up in the UK, I’ve never had to question whether I’d be allowed to go to school. Education has always been there for me, and it’s something many of us understandably take for granted. But in Afghanistan, girls don’t have that same freedom. Today, Afghanistan is the only country in the world where girls are banned from secondary and higher education, with around 2.2 million girls currently unable to attend secondary school. If these restrictions continue, UNICEF estimates that more than 4 million girls could be denied an education beyond primary school by 2030.

I’m raising money because I believe no girl should have her future decided simply because she’s a girl. Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, dream, and build a life full of hope. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help provide education, support, and opportunities for girls who have had so much taken from them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting a cause that I care so deeply about. Together, we can help give these girls hope for a brighter future.
