Story
On the 2 November 2025 I will be running the New York Marathon in memory of Phil O'Keefe, where he once lived and also where I first met Phil. I was lucky to spend some time with Phil over the years, but not as much as I would have liked. He had a magnetic energy and love for life that lit up the room whenever he was there. I have witnessed the incredible impact he's had on his family and friends to continue his legacy and keep that passion and energy for life. That's why I feel especially lucky to be part of this amazing moment, running for and remembering POK in NYC.
Why Sarcoma UK?
Sarcoma UK played a vital role in trying to keep Phil alive during his 14 month battle with sarcoma, a rare cancer that strikes the bones and soft tissue.
Sarcoma UK is the only national charity in the UK focusing on all types of sarcoma. They fund vital research, offer support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer, and campaign for better treatments. For every pound donated, 70p is invested directly into research, information/support, and education about sarcoma.
They provide practical support to families, including assistance with transportation, meals, and other daily needs during treatment. This support is crucial for families who may be struggling financially while caring for a loved one with sarcoma.

Every step we take is for Phil, and for the hope that no family has to endure this alone. Thank you for your support.
