Story
This July and August, I am taking on the Hoofing It challenge for The Horse Trust. Over the next two months, Poppy 🐴 and I will be riding and in hand walking to gather a total of 140 minutes to help raise £140.
When you consider that we only see each other at weekends, and not all my weekends are free, it gives us about 10 possible days to rack up our minutes - assuming the weather is on our side!
For context, over the last three months we have averaged about 45 minutes per month, so this challenge will provide some extra motivation to get out together.
The Horse Trust is the oldest horse charity in the world. Since 1886, they have provided a loving sanctuary for retired working horses (like police and military heroes) as well as rescue horses, ponies and donkeys that have suffered from severe neglect.
Because they receive no government funding, they rely entirely on public donations to provide food, medical care and a peaceful retirement for these beautiful animals.
Every pound I raise goes directly toward their daily care. The Horse Trust website lists a few examples of the impact your donation could have:
- £10 could feed a horse for one day
- £50 buys a bale of hay
- £100 provides vital feed for specialist diets
Thank you for your support!
