Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Myself and my colleague, Sarah, initially started training for the Plymouth 10K to show the Year 11 students we work with that with regular training and practice, you can succeed at something which might at first be seemingly impossible. As an absolute newbie to running (I couldn’t even run for 30 seconds at the start of this!), this definitely serves as a good analogy! With their GCSE exams now just around the corner, they are working hard towards their final “race” after months of hard work and preparation but ours comes first! Through training, we have found ourselves thinking a lot about the last cohort of students we worked together with. They are now in Year 13 and preparing for their A Levels. As part of their community work this year, they have been raising money for the charity, Pete’s Dragons. This wonderful local charity provided bereavement support to a number of them following the death of their friend and our student, Cameron, in the summer of 2021. As we go into our race, we’d love to support their drive to fundraise for Pete’s Dragons and will hold all of our students, but particularly Cameron, in our thoughts as we complete the race. If you are able to donate, no matter how small the amount, please do - it will mean so much to us. Thank you xx
