Inspired by the very special Theo, his Team are doing all they can to support The Lily Foundation to beat Mito!

This event is right at the end of Mitochondrial disease awareness week, so what better way to raise awareness than for 6 year old Theo and his 4 year old sister Nia to both take part in the 1K race at the Butterfly run, to raise some funds for The Lily Foundation, Theo in his wheelchair and Nia running!

The Lily Foundation is the UK's leading charity dedicated to fighting mitochondrial disease. Our mission is to support people whose lives are affected by the condition, raise awareness and fund research into its prevention, diagnosis and treatment. 10 million people in the UK suffer from diseases in which mitochondrial dysfunction is believed to be involved, while every day in the UK a baby is born who will develop mitochondrial disease. The Lily Foundation is fighting to change this. Our ultimate aim is to one day find a cure for mito.
