I am hoping my descent down the James McCune Smith building will be Ethan Hunt - Mission Impossible style rather than Hans Gruber - Die Hard style and my efforts can raise lots of money for the UofG Access to Opportunity Fund.

Launched last year, the fund creates life-changing opportunities for those who face barriers to higher education. It offers essential financial and pastoral support throughout a student’s journey - right from those very first steps into university, supporting them to overcome challenges and create lasting memories along the way.

By supporting the Access to Opportunity, I hope to provide crucial support to students who may be experiencing challenging life circumstances as well as supporting individuals from communities who may face obstacles to higher education. Having worked at UofG for over 12 years, many of which directly supporting students, I have seen first hand how funds like this can really make a difference to a student’s life.
