Story
On 19th September I’m taking on Birmingham Mind’s Big Hike: The Edale Skyline Challenge in the beautiful Peak District.
It’s a 32km (20 mile) hike with more than 1,100m of climbing.
I’m doing this to raise money for Birmingham Mind, a charity that is particularly close to my heart.
There is still so much stigma around mental health, and it breaks my heart to see the impact poor mental health can have on people and on those around them. Sometimes you can look absolutely fine on the outside while things are very different on the inside.
Supporting mental health charities like Mind feels particularly important to me right now. Their work can make such a difference to people who are struggling, often when they need it most.
So, if you’re able to, I’d be incredibly grateful for a donation. I’m not asking for huge amounts — even a pound or two would mean so much. Every little bit adds up and helps support Birmingham Mind.
And in return, I’ll be putting my body through 20 miles and 1,100m of climbing… and probably questioning my life choices around mile 15!
If you can spare a couple of pounds, please consider sponsoring me and helping me make all those steps count.
Thank you for your support.
