Hello,

I'm Erin Donnelly and I'm one of the jockeys taking part in the BHS Charity Race at Weatherby Racecourse on 31 October 2025.

I work full time as a Mechanical Project Engineer in the water industry but have been riding horses as long as I can remember and have two lovely competition horses. I love horse racing and can't wait to get my chance to be legged up in silks and (hopefully) gallop across the finish line in the charity race this year.

I'll have to pass the jockey fitness test which is pretty brutal so please follow along and donate to watch me struggle through training and riding on the gallops as I gear up for the race.

By donating, you'll help over 6000 horses receive welfare care and offer owners advice to prevent future welfare concerns. You'll influence highway and Police authorities take action at accident & near-miss hotspots.

You'll feel how much pride we take when young people like Charlie's self-esteem builds as they learn key life skills through the Changing Lives through Horses programme. "School was a never ending thunderstorm. But everything is calm when I'm with the horses."
