The British Horse Society (BHS) aim to protect and promote the interests of all horses and those who care about them. Our core foundations – education, welfare, access and safety – are more important than ever as they demonstrably make a difference to horses’ lives.

Story

We are delighted to introduce you to our jockeys racing a mile on the flat at the esteemed Newbury and Wetherby racecourses on 31 October and 6 November. They're all raising money to shape a world where every horse is protected, respected and enjoyed by knowledgeable, caring people.

Our charitable work spans across welfare, participation, horse safety and access to safe riding routes. Through our collective voice and network, we have a great influence in national policy-making, safeguarding the horse’s place in society.

By donating, you're helping horses and humans feel safe and cared for. You're letting people discover the joy of riding or gain skills that leave them standing taller. To experience the adventure of the open road together. Because there's no feeling quite like it; the feeling horses and people share. Powering the good times. Making the tough times better. A feeling that’s a life’s passion. Or a life’s work. And whatever that feeling is for you, The British Horse Society can help you find it.
