Story
In July 2024, I am going to Uganda for a month alongside other volunteers to help build a playground for young children who are less fortunate. It will help enhance their education, development and overall quality of life.
Play Action have found that in schools where they implement playground and play-based learning programmes:
•74% of children gave “the playground” as the reason to attend school
•98% of schools saw a significant increase in enrolment
•85% of the children learnt new skills
•83% of teachers saw improvements in children’s behaviour and concentration during classes.
To do so, I need to raise £1750 for Play Action International, so any and all donations, no matter how big or small are greatly appreciated.
Play Action International is a UK registered charity and international NGO, working to enrich children's lives through play. We do this by providing vulnerable children with play facilities and play based learning programmes, enabling them to gain all the developmental benefits that play has to offer and the tools for future success.
