Story
This Easter, I'm taking on a tough physical and mental challenge: hiking to Everest Base Camp (I've done one other hike in my life before btw 😊).
It’s a 130km journey through the Himalayas, reaching an altitude of 5,364 metres. The air is thin, the days are long, and temperatures can get to around -15 degrees. I'm going because I like a challenge, but mainly to help raise funds for NABS, the mental wellbeing charity dedicated to supporting people across the advertising, media and marketing industry.
It’s no secret that the past few years have been tough for many for our industry. People are everything in this business and I want to support the people who are supporting the mental wellbeing of the brilliant people across the industry.
NABS provide free, confidential mental health support, advice and financial assistance to people at their most vulnerable moments. By supporting this trek, you're helping NABS continue their vital work: being there when people need someone to talk to, practical help to get back on their feet, or simply reassurance that they're not alone.
If you're able to donate, no matter the amount, it would mean a huge amount not just to me, but to everyone NABS supports.
I’d love to raise £1 per metre of elevation! Thanks for your support.
