On the 21st of February we will be walking a marathon in a day along the England Coast Path near Durham, to raise money for Marie Curie. We have chosen this distance because Marie Curie is the official Charity of the Year for the 2026 London Marathon. We are both ambassadors for the Durham University Charity Fashion Show (DUCFS), which is the largest student led charity event in Europe, and this year, DUCFS is supporting Marie Curie. For DUCFS 2026, we are very proud to be partnering with Marie Curie in the North East, helping them to support those with terminal illnesses within our local community.

We’re supporting two North East–based Marie Curie projects: the Companion Volunteer Service and the North East Clinical Educator Role. Together, they strengthen Marie Curie’s leading end-of-life care by providing personal support for individuals and professional training for staff.

We will also be supporting DUCFS Launchpad, our creative outreach platform. Through a series of projects focused on local community, arts, and music, Launchpad aims to ignite change in the North East.
