Story
I am honoured to take part in this year's Night to Remember walk with my 2 daughters Lena and Julia to support Kingston Hospital Charity on 6th September.
Kingston Hospital is very important to me and my girls. The oncology team as well as Sunshine and Dolphin Wards and play teams will always have a special place in our hearts. The care, the chats and laughs we had despite the most difficult times in our lives with Lena's chemotherapy treatment - at age of 2 and again at age of 7 will be always remembered.
I want to give something back and when I received the email from the Oncology team I thought - let's do it.
This year, their goal is to raise funds for vital medical equipment that will enhance diagnosis, improve treatment, and deliver exceptional care at Kingston Hospital and the community it serves. The equipment they aim to fund will benefit patients across a wide range of services, including surgical, breast radiology, respiratory, colorectal, ear, nose and throat, maternity, frailty, and physiotherapy.
Last year, over 300 dedicated participants raised an incredible £60,000. This remarkable effort has helped ensure that families facing the unimaginable loss of a child at Kingston Hospital receive support from an experienced bereavement psychologist. This showcases that donations make a real difference.
Together, we can make a profound difference. Every donation brings them closer to providing the best possible care for their community.
