Story
Hello! 🦓 So... I'll be running 10k next month to raise money for Marwell Wildlifes Grevys Zebra Conservation Programmes' work out in Kenya.
I've been training what feels like lots of early mornings with the goal to survive the whole track and maybe even walk the next day🤞and if you know me you'll know I have knees dodgier than an email from a Nigerian Prince 🙃. So even if you absolutely hate Zebras and everything they stand for... maybe your motivation for donating would simply be to continue my suffering?😁 That's okay.. I think.
But if you don't quite hate zebras and think learning a little about them may make you want to donate to their conservation... Read on and thank you for even reading this far 🦓
Grevys Zebra are quickly becoming a personal favourite species of zebra I've worked with as they're so full of character and stubborn as hell.
Fewer than 3,000 Grevy’s zebras remain. Habitat loss, droughts, competition with livestock for grazing and infrastructure developments threaten their survival.
Marwell Wildlife's Grevy's Zebra Conservation Programme in Kenya is working with remote communities and partners to raise awareness of wildlife conservation, address challenges such as drought and diseases collaboratively, and promote ecosystem restoration and sustainable economies - allowing people and wildlife to live in harmony. And I want to help too!
With your support, we can help protect these incredible animals and ensure they thrive for generations to come.
