CANCER RESEARCH UK is close to our hearts as our wonderful saxophone player Phil was recently diagnosed with bowel cancer. This came as a huge shock to us, as he is such a force of nature. His treatment is going well thankfully and he'll be joining us on sax duty at our event. It is also fitting that we hold our fundraiser at The Rose & Crown, as very sadly our friend Viv Barrett landlady of the pub died from brain cancer in 2022.
