Story
On 1st January 2026,
I will begin the Peace of Mind Charity Walk 2026 — a 7-month journey of over 2,000 miles. Starting at the northern tip of the Shetland Islands, I will walk the length of Scotland, England, and Wales, before crossing into Ireland and finishing at its southern coast.
This walk symbolises recovery: starting in the dark of winter, step by step moving towards spring, summer, and hope. Along the way, I’ll share my lived experience of bipolar disorder, depression, addiction and dyslexia.
I have chosen to support Aware (Ireland)
a national charity providing free support, education and information for people affected by depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder. Aware’s mission of offering hope and understanding is close to my heart, and I am proud to walk in their name.
My goal is not only to raise funds, but to spark open, honest conversations about mental health in every community I pass through. This walk is about connection, courage and hope — and together, we can make a real difference.
Thank you for your support.
