Story
On 1st January 2026,
I’ll begin a walk of more than 2,000 miles — starting at the northern tip of Shetland, through Scotland, England, and Wales, before crossing into Ireland and finishing on its southern coast. It will take 6–7 months, in the middle of winter, with all the challenges that brings.
Why am I doing this?
Because for over 40 years I’ve lived with bipolar, depression, addiction, and dyslexia. Some days have been about nothing more than putting one foot in front of the other. This walk is a symbol of that — a reminder that even in the darkest storms, it may still be possible to move one step forward.
I’m raising money for Mind
who work across England and Wales to make sure no one has to face a mental health problem alone. Their support, campaigns, and services change lives every day.
This walk is about connection, honesty, and courage. Every step is for the vital work Mind does.
Thank you for standing with me.
