Alopecia UK is a national charity providing support, community and education to improve the lives of those affected by alopecia.

The charity provides opportunities for people affected by alopecia to connect, share practical advice and feel less isolated.

Alopecia UK also raises awareness of the challenges faced by those with alopecia, in both society and healthcare systems, and champions research by placing those affected by alopecia at the heart of research.

Jessica, 11, one of our family friends, developed alopecia and began losing her hair when she was 5, the same age as Roxy is now.

Living with a visible difference is not always easy but seeing Jessica’s confidence re-grow through the support of her family and friends, alongside The Little Princess Trust and Alopecia UK has been inspiring.

Jessica was initially given a wig by The Little Princess Trust but now lives confidently as her beautiful bald self.

Roxy has seen first hand how much Jessica has been through, and she wanted to do something special to show her love and support. Donating her hair is a big step—especially for a young girl—but Roxy knows how much of a difference it can make to someone going through such a difficult time.
