After riding the DoverCoaster for most of the summer, we finally got our chance to swim on Sunday 8th October. We started from Shakespeare Beach in Dover at 3:40am and landed at Cap Blanc Nez near Calais 16 hours and 6 minutes later. It was the most amazing day!

The SwimSolutions Starfish team is swimming from Dover to Calais around the 26th July 2023. 'Around' because channel swims are rather weather dependent! We're the 4th boat on the tide which starts on 23rd July! The team consists of Jackie, David, Fiona, Sam and Scott who all train together each week. A few weeks ago we all completed our qualifying swims in under 16C (without a wetsuit!) and we've been doing regular training sessions in Dover.

Most of us know someone who has been affected by Breast Cancer. Breast Cancer Now both funds research and supports those affected.
