Story

I'm taking part in the Hospital Hero Hike on Saturday 4 May 2024!

The Hospital Hero Hike is a 21 mile walk from Ipswich Hospital to Colchester Hospital.

My family and I have decided to take on this challenge to support Ipswich Hospitals Renal Unit. We are walking in memory of Allan Herbert, my dad.

My dad received excellent care in the Renal Unit for over 25 years following kidney failure. During this time he had 2 kidney transplants and in between had dialysis. Then came a neck cancer diagnosis last year. Sadly dad passed away in August.

If you can support us we would be so grateful.
