My fundraiser for RSPCA Leeds Wakefield & District

Devika Parmar is raising money for RSPCA Leeds Wakefield & District
Our branch is currently in a very difficult financial situation, and we are appealing for your support and generosity to help save our Animal Centre in East Ardsley, so we can keep our doors open and continue to help animals in need.

Story

I’m taking part in The Great Leeds Walk on 12th July and 3 Peak Challenge 13th September, to raise money for the RSPCA Leeds and Wakefield Branch—a cause incredibly close to my heart. I volunteer with them on weekends and see firsthand the amazing work they do to protect and care for animals in need. What many people don’t realise is that each RSPCA branch is independently funded, meaning they rely entirely on local support and donations to stay open and continue their work.

Animal welfare is something I care deeply about, and this walk is my way of supporting the charity that continues to make such a big difference in our community. Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world to me and help the RSPCA continue their vital work. Thank you so much for your support! I will also be taking part in the 3 peaks challenge in September to also raise money.

The RSPCA Leeds, Wakefield & District Branch is in a severe financial crisis, and we need your help now more than ever. We are a completely self-funded charity, registered with the Charity Commission, separate from the National RSPCA, and we rely heavily on the support of our local community to continue our vital work. However, with rising costs of utilities, vet bills, food, and overheads, along with reduced income, we have had to take drastic action. Without immediate support, we could be forced to close our doors, leaving countless abused and neglected animals without the care they desperately need.
