Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page - here’s our story -

On Thursday 26th October 2023, I received a call that would change our lives forever. My darling husband Mark had suffered a severe stroke at the young age of 48!

The stroke has left him with a weakened right side and he is having to learn to talk again - this is the toughest part.

Mark isn’t just my husband and the boys daddy, he is a son, a son in law, a brother, a brother in law, uncle, cousin, a friend and a colleague.

My best friend Gail rallied friends and family and has organised 2 relay teams to take part in the marathon and Mark’s best friend Stephen and his nephew Adam will run the full marathon.

For all those who know me I am definitely not a runner but as my sister Rachel said “If Mark can learn to talk again, we can learn to run”

We are raising money for Chest Heart and Stroke association NI, who provide invaluable support not just for stroke survivors but also their families.

We would be extremely grateful for any donation and my work will match up to £500.

Thanks for taking the time to read our story.

My darling Mark this runs for you 😘
