Story
As the festive lights begin to twinkle, we at the Friends After Five Society at Birmingham Newman University are swapping our lecture notes for a week of high-energy fundraising to support a truly meaningful cause. Our mission is about much more than a successful event—it’s about bringing the genuine spirit of Christmas to the children and their families at the Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHC).
This December, we're dedicated to sprinkling a little bit of comfort, warmth, and joy across Birmingham. Being in hospital during the holidays can be a confusing, frightening, and lonely experience. This time of year should be filled with wonder, but it can instead be dominated by clinical sounds and unfamiliar routines. That’s why we need your help.
Our Society Chair, Jess, a dedicated trainee in Primary Education, has taken this cause to heart. For Jess, and for all of us, this is deeply personal. Everyone deserves some fun festive light especially when struggling.
Help us bring the magic of Christmas to Birmingham communities in need. Help us ensure that every person supported by BCHC feels the warmth, kindness, and magic of Christmas. Your support is absolutely vital to making their holidays a little brighter.
